Executive Summary

Problem
TCS needed a compelling mobile showcase to pitch healthcare and pharma clients — proof of what a modern, AI-integrated consumer health app could look like in practice. Existing designs were fragmented across tools and engagements, with no unified demonstration piece.
My Role
I took an existing client project originally built in Adobe XD, rebuilt and rebranded it under TCS, and expanded it into a full-featured mobile health platform. I was responsible for design consistency across the app as it grew, and owned the design of several modules added during the expansion:
CareBuddy — an AI-powered wellness chatbot featuring an animated avatar (Kerry) capable of answering health questions, transcribing conversations, and routing users to care resources. Conversational UI and avatar integration were designed from scratch.
MediPedia — a medical knowledge base where users can look up diagnosed conditions, track symptoms, view treatment plans, manage medications, and connect with condition-specific communities. The Rheumatoid Arthritis module alone included community forums, a symptoms tracker, personalized education resources, and medication management with drug interaction warnings.
Health Insurance Benefits Viewer — allowing users to view their OTC care hub balance, member cards, plan spending, and deductible status in one place.
Mood Journal — a daily mental health check-in with emoji-based mood selection and longitudinal tracking.
Alongside these new modules, the app included a full suite of existing features: Health Trackers, Dashboard, Appointments, Care Circle, Claims, Pill Manager, and MedSearch — all redesigned under a consistent TCS-branded visual system.
Outcome
The TI Internal Health App has been presented to clients including Humana, BCBSNJ, and Tractor Supply Co. as a live demonstration of TCS's capabilities in AI avatars, conversational UI, mobile health design, and consumer-facing healthcare experiences. It continues to serve as an active sales tool for new client conversations.
